If you’re looking for videos of what happened when Israeli commandos boarded the Flotilla of Fools, the best place to start is the Israel Defense Forces Spokeman’s Youtube channel.
Here’s a youtube of the “peace activists” swarming and beating the shit out of Israeli commandos.
But rather than parroting coverage that is available elsewhere, I thought I’d take a look and see what the anti semitic, jew hating, anti zionist, (oops. can’t use those words in Canada! Calling a spade a spade might hurt someone’s feelings or trigger a lawsuit) “progressive” Canadian blogosphere had to say.
In a post entitled “Blame Harper for the attack on international aid flotilla Dammit Janet indulges in a full blown attack of Harper Derangement Syndrome. I had no idea that everything evil in the world boiled down to the existence of Stephen Harper as Prime Minister.
Bullies do what they do because they are addicted to the adrenaline their brain produces when they engage in violence, and to the endorphin surge they get from terrorizing others. It’s all about having and using power over others.
Stevie Spiteful and his cadre of goons – Kenney, Baird, Toews – recognize in Netanyahu a rightwing comrade-in-arms familiar with the bully principle.
Alison at Creekside has Israeli commandos opening fire as soon as they hit decks of the flotilla ships. I guess she’s not one to let pesky little things like facts(like those shown in the youtube above) get in the way of a chance to condemn those evil Israels.
Apparently Alison thinks we Canadians are evil too because our government doesn’t join in reflexively join in criticizing Israel like those paragons of human rights Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Iran.
Against this complicity by our own government in the three-year-old Israeli blockade of Gaza, we must raise our voices in support of international law. We must no longer allow our government to speak in our name here.
Alison’s entry is crossposted at Dawg’s Blog. Her post there has generated the usual foul miasma that one has come to expect from commentators there.
Peace, order and good government, eh? pretty much agrees with Creekside. For daring to support Israel when those evil Joos actually have the audacity to defend themselves, we Canadians have blood on our hands.
Israeli authorities are reporting that it was the demonstrators on board the ships who began the hostilities and the members of the IDF were just defending themselves. No one has yet explained how demonstrators on ships in international waters managed to force Israeli commandos to come aboard so they could be attacked.
Our own government has been relentless in its encouragement of Israel’s siege of Gaza. Some of this blood is on our hands.
In a short post, entitled gaza flotilla massacre: israel adds to its eternal shame, We Move to Canada(American by birth; Canadian by choice) makes it clear that she is another one that doesn’t let facts get in the way of a good tirade. She wins points for the use of emotive words like ‘massacre,’ ‘eternal shame,’ and apartheid. Boycotting Jews sounds good to her.
What could be more shameful than slaughtering people trying to bring aid to a trapped and dispossessed people?
The apartheid system that dispossesses those people in the first place.
This from the “only democracy in the Middle East”. From the “light unto the nations” I learned about as a young person.
Shame, shame, shame.
Boycott – Divest – Sanction. What you do will not be much, but what we all do will have an impact.
Ah yes, the poor trapped Palestinians. I guess they’ll just have to assuage their hatred in their five star restaurants and first class hotels.
Some of the comments on We Move to Canada are priceless. Many of the commentators clearly live in a reality different from the rest of us.
I watched (via the livestreaming) those most courageous hearts on the boats until the wee hours last night and while I couldn’t imagine the exact outcome I never would have imagined such an atrocious and viscious and desperate reaction to end this mission of hope (there were continuous interviews with participants filled with joy and hope you couldn’t help but catch it too).
After all the hours sifting through the reports today I still can’t make any sense out of it, (perhaps that’s my mistake).
I am heartsick, devastated and on the verge of tears all the time (I have tried to work today but it isn’t really happening). Yet, every now and again there are those occasional moments of hope (I admit I am probably desperately seeking those) but …
Excited Delirium echos We Move to Canada.
Israel has attacked a massive aid flotilla off the Mediterranean Coast this morning, killing dozens and potentially destroying an effort to bring aid to people in the Gaza Strip and Palestine.
I guess the Israeli offer to transship the flotilla’s aid from Ashdod to the Gaza Strip passed Delirium by. What a surprise.
He also wants to boycott everything Israeli. I hope he’s a man of his word and boycotts everything Israeli shown in the youtube below but I sincerely doubt it.
Israel has attacked a massive aid flotilla off the Mediterranean Coast this morning, killing dozens and potentially destroying an effort to bring aid to people in the Gaza Strip and Palestine.
The Israeli response seems largely premeditated, accusing the aid workers of being terrorists and criminals, despite the fact that most were members of European Parliament, peace prize winners, a Holocaust survivor, and aid organizations.
People: we have to actively boycott anything from Israel. We have to lobby all of our politicians to bring on harsh punishment to the state of Israel for their crimes against humanity.
In addition to a real bad case of Harper Derangement Syndrome, the blogger Hotfoot apparently is unclear on the definition of the word genocide.
Hypocrisy doesn’t describe Harpercumsoudras nor for that matter, Obama and the rest of the world.
The intent is, one way or another, to wipe Palestinians off the map. It will continue to completion…call it what you will or deny it, genocide is unstated (for the most part) but the goal.
So that’s a sample of what passes as ‘progressive’ thought these days in Canada. Sad. Very, very sad.
PS. Yes, I did look at quite of few progressive blogs and did not see one post supporting or even understanding of Israel’s actions.
If there is on the left, I’d love to read it.

but people seem to read her blog, despite all that.
Allison at Creekside has a lot of problems. She imagines Israel attacked Lebanon in 2008 killing 1400 Lebanese. She thinks its shameful Canada defended Israel at the UN for building the wall to stop suicide bombers infiltrating from imploding and killing Jews on the buses, in the markets and streets. She thinks its a cause for shame that Canada sent the largest delegation to Israel for a conference on anti-Semitism. Personally, I look forward to future posts telling us why anti-Semitism is really a good thing.
